It was Rockcliff's turn to host the Friday Night Lights veterans (over 35's) rugby tournament last Friday, with Rockcliff, Blyth, Novos and a Morpeth/Ashington side taking part in a round robin of four 20 minute games.

First up was Blyth v Novos, which Blyth just edged 5-0.

Rockcliff then faced Morpeth, and in an exciting in which Morpeth were leading 12-10, Rockcliff scored a late, converted, try win 17-10.

The hosts then played Novos, and, in another close game, a late converted try saw Rockcliff prevail 12-5.

In the final game of the night, a dominant Blyth ran in four tries and a conversion to beat Morpeth 22-10.
