Whitley Bay Rockcliff 3rd XV 21 Jarrovians 2nd XV 17

Rockcliff Rangers edged out Jarrovians 2nds in an absorbing encounter in front of a good crowd at Hillheads. Luke Robinson made his senior debut for the Rangers, Neal and Evan Bradford (also making his senior debut) turned out in a father and son combination, and Billy Spence made his return to Rockcliff after a spell out of the game.

The Rangers closed out the game with three tries, from Matty Dunbar, James Walker and Evan Bradford, all converted by David Neash. Jarrovians recorded two unconverted tries and a penalty try, but, despite late pressure, they couldn't break the home defence and the Rangers held out.
