Last Saturday was a great day for the club with three home teams all winning, and a full club house packed with 140 attending the past players reunion lunch, plus players and supporters from Acklam and Mansfield.
First up were the Under 18 Girls, who faced off against Mansfield. The fact that these two sides are in the top ten in England in their age group was evident by the standard of rugby that was played. Rockcliff got off to a great start, opening a 21 7 lead by half time. The second half was more event at Mansfield found their form, but Rockcliff came out on top with the score 35 19 at full time.
This was followed by a double header against Acklam, with 1st and 2nd XV's from both clubs in action. In the two closely fought games, Rockcliff came out on top, with the first team securing their long awaited first win of the season by 26 10, and the Vikings winning 34 17.
All in all, a great day for Rockcliff!
