In a CANDY 3 North league and Northumberland Number 4 cup double header, the Viking's cup campaign came to an end at the quarter final stage when, despite a valiant effort, they came up short against a strong Ponteland side.
Trailing 32 5 at half time, they had scored through Dan Glover, who was making his debut in Cardinal and Gold.
In the second half, Idris Pritchard capped a strong performance with the Vikings second try, converted by Locky Vodden
They will now face either Northern Panthers or Blyth Marauders in the Plate semi final.
